President Day traveled to Cheyenne, Wyoming to attend the Wyoming State Dinner. Former Regent Paul Hickey and his wife Jeannie brought President Day to the dinner at Metropolitan Downtown, where Chair Kim Cannon and Fellow Billie Addleman organized an event attended by Fellows, spouses, Wyoming state and federal judges, law school dean Julie Hill, Governor Mark Gordon, and his wife Jennie Gordon. The Governor presented President Day with a challenge coin, and President Day spoke with Dean Julie Hill about Wyoming’s lawyer shortage and the Reputation Project. After dinner, President Day spoke to the group about the Annual Meeting in New York, rule-of-law issues, and Wyoming’s debate over judicial selection. Former Regent Hickey presented President Day with a Frontier Days belt buckle and sent him home with a handmade leather passport holder from Alexis Drake for his wife, Joy. The evening concluded with drinks at the hotel.
