Executive Director
Dennis J. Maggi, CAE
Dennis has served as Executive Director of the College since 2003. He manages the National office, staff and financial operations of the College. Dennis works closely with the Executive Committee, Board of Regents and State, Province and General Committees to fulfill the mission of the College. He works closely with the co-sponsors of National Moot, National Trial, Gale Moot Cup and Sopinka Cup competitions in both the United States and Canada.
Dennis also works with the College’s Foundation Trustees to fulfill their mandate to improve the quality of trial and appellate advocacy, the ethics of the profession and the administration of justice.
Prior to joining the College, Dennis worked with state, regional and national associations in California and the mid-west.

Suzanne Alsnauer
Senior Meetings and Conference Manager
Suzanne’s role focuses on long-range national meeting planning and on-site execution of the Spring and Annual Meetings, Leadership Workshop and regional meetings. She can answer any questions you have about meeting schedules, hotel contracts and accommodations, tours and programming.
Prior to joining the College in 2012, Suzanne oversaw meetings departments and coordinated association volunteers and organization sponsors for several other associations in California.
Geri Frankenstein
Senior Manager, Membership
Since joining the College in 2010, Geri has played a pivotal role in managing all aspects of membership. Geri serves as a resource for information related to nominations, polls, inductions, and retirement membership categories. She is also responsible for maintaining and updating Fellow information in the College’s database.
Geri provides detailed information about the procedures for nominating attorneys to Fellows, State and Province Committee Chairs and Regents. Her thorough knowledge of the College’s membership operations and her attention to detail make her an invaluable resource for members and leadership alike.
Before her tenure at the American College of Trial Lawyers, Geri managed sales, marketing and public relations for a privately held software development company. Her background in business operations and client relations brings a unique and valuable perspective to her work at the College.
Amy Mrugalski, CAE
Senior Strategic Initiatives Manager
Amy works with the leaders of the College to advance the mission of the College through oversight of various initiatives, including our sponsored law student competitions, Foundation activities, and committee membership.
She can answer questions about joining a committee, the College’s support of law student competitions and general questions about the College’s initiatives. Amy works directly with committee leaders to manage appointments, gather regular reports, and arrange in-person meetings in conjunction with our national meetings.
Amy also administers the grants of the Foundation and serves as a staff liaison to the Emil Gumpert Award Committee. Contact her if you would like information about applying for a Foundation grant.
Prior to joining the College staff in 2010, Amy worked in several non-profit environments. Amy is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), demonstrating a wide range of knowledge and commitment to association management.
Sarah Stokes
Senior Communications Manager
Sarah works on the Journal, e-Bulletin, ACTL website, the College podcast Trial Tested, outreach and College communications. Email her for logo and media requests, including press releases. Sarah also manages the digital and print archives. Contact her for help with the College Listserv, questions about our partnership with the National Constitution Center or for website assistance.
Sarah works closely with the Communications, Outreach, Teaching of Trial and Appellate Advocacy, Heritage and Online Advisory Committees, among others. Reach out to Sarah if you are looking for general College resources or materials.
Sarah has been with the College since 2021. She previously worked in television, including on the cult classic Freaks & Geeks, and has been a freelance contributor to various magazines.

Cheryl Castillo
Office Administrator
Cheryl handles office administration, including dues payments, foundation contributions, death notices and general information. If you are not sure who to contact with your question, Cheryl can assist with connecting you to the right person.
Cheryl has been with the College since 2009.
Kim Klingaman
Meetings Project Coordinator
Kim works closely with Suzanne in the Meetings Department and handles registrations for National, Regional, State and Province meetings. Contact Kim for assistance with name badges, the National Calendar, CLE credits and any general meeting questions.
Kim began with the College in 2021.
