President Day traveled to Houston to join the Texas Fellows for their summer luncheon, held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the State Bar of Texas. The gathering took place at the Coronado Club in downtown Houston, where nearly fifty Fellows assembled for the occasion.

State Chair Quentin Brogdon presided, offering remarks on the importance of recruiting new Fellows before introducing President Day. Among those in attendance were Past President David Beck and Regent Cal Mayo.

Following lunch, President Day delivered remarks, noting the considerable enthusiasm Fellows have expressed for the upcoming Annual Meeting in New York. He also reported that Texas Fellows are actively working to schedule Reputation Project presentations at the state’s law schools.

The gathering also paused to honor the memory of three Texas Fellows who had passed away since the last meeting.

In keeping with tradition, State Chair Brogdon presented President Day with a bronze hand-and-quill sculpture created by Texas Fellow Don Davis — a fitting reflection of the Fellowship’s hospitality and the artistry within its ranks.
