President Deane arrived in Philly on Monday, December 9 to cold and rainy weather. Dinner that evening was held in an event space located in an office high-rise that looked out on a beautifully lit Philadelphia skyline. State Chair Linda Hoffa was in attendance, joined by Secretary Katie Recker, Regent David Ross and Former Regent Dennis Suplee. There were also three new inductees present for the dinner, and President Deane was delighted to spend time with each of them. They were also joined by Judicial Fellow Jerry McHugh, but the highlight of the evening came when State Chair Hoffa announced to the crowd that Fellow Catherine Henry of the Federal Defender’s Office had just been confirmed that afternoon to the federal district bench. The crowd celebrated the good news and toasted the new judge.
