President John Day and his wife Joy attended the Ohio Fellows Dinner in Gahanna, Ohio at the Rocky Fork Hunt and Country Club. Organized by Ohio State Chair Kim Herlihy, the dinner carried a Kentucky Derby theme, complete with mint juleps and a horse-selection game in which attendees randomly picked Derby horses. President Day addressed the Fellows before dinner, thanking Fellows Buzz and Kathleen Trafford for their decades of service to the College. He noted Committee Chair Buzz Trafford’s leadership in upcoming initiatives, while thanking former Regent Kathleen Trafford’s contribution to the CORE Task Force and Rule of Law Committee work. The featured speaker for the evening was former Ohio Supreme Court Justice Mike Donnelly, who discussed rule of law issues and praised the College’s recent efforts to defend judicial independence and legal institutions, and encouraged the College to continue these efforts.
