President-Elect Sandra Forbes and her husband Stephen Grant attended the North Carolina Fellows Dinner, held at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina. Approximately twenty-seven Fellows and guests were in attendance. State Chair Leslie Packer and her spouse, Tom, hosted the weekend, which also included the attendance of Regent Kearns Davis and his spouse, Ashley. The program commenced with a cocktail reception on Thursday evening. President-Elect Forbes gave remarks on Friday morning, focusing on the priorities of the 2024 Strategic Plan, and commended the NC Fellows for their collegiality and outreach. Additional speakers followed, including a joint presentation by Fellow Sean Perrin and his opposing counsel on a recent case which made for a charming and funny presentation that was a great example of the collegiality amongst the NC bar. Friday evening there was a reception and buffet dinner in a beautiful glass conservatory on the hotel property. On Saturday, the program continued with remarks from Attorney General Jeff Jackson, as well as additional speakers. The weekend ended with a black-tie dinner on Saturday night at the country club venue on the hotel property.
