During his visit to Boise, Idaho, President Day joined the Idaho Fellows for an evening gathering hosted at the Holland & Hart offices on Main Street. The event took the form of a three-hour cocktail reception with heavy hors d’oeuvres, drawing roughly seventeen Fellows and guests and offering an unhurried setting for conversation and fellowship. State Chair Mike Howard hosted, joined by Vice Chair Mary York. The gathering offered several warm reminders of the Idaho chapter’s unique character. Fellow Newal Squyres has been honored with a namesake cocktail, Mr. Squyres’s Negroni, a distinction locally regarded as one of the higher tributes a Fellow might receive. Fellow Reed Larsen of Pocatello, meanwhile, continues to compete nationally in team roping, a pursuit he sustains even during the winter months he spends in Arizona. President Day later joined State Chair Howard and his wife for dinner at Chandler’s Steakhouse, carrying the evening’s fellowship into a smaller and more personal setting.
