

President Day and his wife Joy attended the Hawaii Fellows Dinner at the beautiful Outrigger Club in Honolulu on March 21, 2026. Hosted by State Chair David Louie, the dinner featured presentations from past and present members of the Hawaiian judiciary. Former Chief Justice Mark Recktenwald voiced his appreciation for the College’s public commitment to the rule of law. Acting Chief Justice Sabrina McKenna was also in attendance, enlisting the College’s help and input on attracting quality trial lawyers to the islands. Former Justice Jim Duffey also attended. President Day addressed the group, emphasizing the importance of the rule of law and encouraged attendance at the Annual Meeting in New York City this October. The highlight of the event was the presence of 97-year-old fellow Wilson Moore. The dinner was the end of a day for Wilson which started with a 2 mile walk and included a round of golf.
