Martin Blake is of counsel to the San Francisco law firm of Walker Hamilton & Koenig LLP. He is a Director of Juris Resolutions, the first all Ireland commercial ADR provider, acts as a consultant to law firms in Europe seeking advice on personal injury cases and teaches advocacy skills to lawyers in the UK and Europe. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and The International Academy of Trial Lawyers.

Mr. Blake received his law degree at The Queen’s University, Belfast, in 1971 and the degree of barrister at law in 1972 at Grays Inn, London. He practiced as a barrister in Northern Ireland for eight years before being admitted to practice in 1981 in California. He became President of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers’ Association and was an elected member of the California State Bar Litigation Section Executive Committee.

From 1990-2008, Mr. Blake taught advanced trial practice as an adjunct Professor of Law at U.C. Hastings, San Francisco and published over 60 articles in legal journals. He edited the Wrongful Death chapter of Bancroft Whitneys Civil Practice series.

He is a certified rugby coach and referee and former President of the Marin Highlanders Rugby Club in Marin County.
