Kenzo Kawanabe is a commercial litigator who represents clients in a variety of matters relating to commercial disputes, mass torts, products liability, and intellectual property. He has significant litigation and trial experience in high-stakes cases. His law firm focuses on impact litigation.
As a fourth-generation Coloradan, Kenzo engages deeply in communityservice. He serves on the Boards of Colorado Legal Services, Colorado State University System, and Asian Americans Advancing Justice – D.C. He previously was on the Board of Advisors for theInstitute for the Advancement of the American Legal System, and served as board chair for the Colorado Lawyers Committee,Boettcher Foundation,andDenver Foundation (one of the oldest and largest community foundations in the U.S.). Additional board service includes Sakura Foundation, Colorado Nonprofit Development Center, Community Resource Center, and Barton Institute for Community Action.
Mr. Kawanabe served as a law clerk for the Honorable Mary J. Mullarkey, Chief Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association (ABF Fellow), Colorado Bar Association (past Board of Governors and Bar Fellow), Denver Bar Association (past Board and Executive Committee), National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (first-ever General Counsel), Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Colorado (past President and Foundation President), and Minoru Yasui Inn of Court.
