Kenneth Montgomery began his career as a prosecutor in the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office, where he honed his trial skills in the busy red zone, the gang unit, juvenile crimes, and sex crimes. After starting his career as a litigator in 2001, he has litigated trials in personal injury, copyright infringement, and other areas of law. His passion is criminal defense litigation in federal capital defense and in both federal and state courts in New York and throughout the country. At this point in his career, Kenneth has achieved more than 60 acquittals in felony jury trials. Kenneth previously served as an adjunct professor in the trial advocacy program at Fordham Law School for over 20 years and a professor in the African Studies department at Brooklyn college. He continues to hone his skills as a criminal litigator and looks forward to the challenge as the presumption of innocence in American society continues to erode. Kenneth is still a member of the Brooklyn community he was raised in and is co-founder of the non-profit foundation called the Brooklyn Combine, which serves underprivileged youth and communites. Kenneth is also a writer for the free neighborhood Brooklyn community paper, titled the Brooklyn Combine.
