Jonathan is the office managing partner of the firm’s Charlottesville office, and co-leads the firm’s Oil and Gas team. His energy focus is on natural gas litigation including shale, coalbed methane, conventional, and propane. He has litigated mineral rights, royalty, transportation, construction, consumer protection, antitrust, fraud and other complex litigation in this arena. He has tried dozens of bench and jury trials, and has appeared in district, circuit and federal courts, as well as in AAA arbitrations. He has been reported in cases in the Virginia Supreme Court, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, and one in the U.S. Supreme Court. Jonathan has litigated cases in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland and Virginia. He is an A/V rated attorney by Martindale Hubbell.

He focuses on complex civil litigation, including class actions, with an emphasis on energy, construction, real estate and fiduciary duty litigation as well as the coordination and management of large document reviews and production.

He serves as an officer and director of Legal Aid Justice Center and Central Virginia Legal Aid. He is the current President of Legal Aid Justice Center.

While earning his law degree from the University of Virginia, Jonathan was honored as a member of the Raven and IMP Societies.
