Eugene Felton, Jr.

Eugene Felton, Jr. is a veteran trial lawyer whose fearless advocacy has shaped justice in some of the nations most high-profile cases. Born in Fort Valley and raised in Marshallville, Georgia, Felton often jokes that he has practiced law in office buildings larger than his hometown. Despite growing up with little exposure to the professionhe didnt meet a lawyer until collegehis determination propelled him into a distinguished legal career that now 30 years.

Felton began his career in 1996 as a federal civil rights attorney while also defending clients in criminal cases, later serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Bibb County, where he prosecuted over 35 felony jury trials, including capital murder and one of Georgias first RICO cases. Transitioning to civil trial work, he became known as a formidable litigator in personal injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice. His work has included landmark police misconduct cases, such as representing the family of Walter Scott in South Carolina and the family of Alton Sterling in Louisiana.

As co-founder of Seay/Felton Trial Lawyers in Atlanta, Felton continues to secure seven- and eight-figure verdicts and settlements, championing clients in their pursuit of justice. He is a proud graduate of Morehouse College and the University of Tennessee College of Law, admitted to practice in Georgia, Washington, D.C., and federal courts including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Eugene Felton, Jr. was recently inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an honor extended to only 1% of the total lawyer population in the United States and Canada.

Beyond the courtroom, Felton is deeply committed to service. He is a lifetime member of the Morehouse College Alumni Association and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Vice Chair of Georgia Men for Democracy Now, a Deacon at Enon Baptist Church, and has served as a mentor, coach for his high school mock trial team, and community leader. His legacy is one of advocacy, excellence, and unwavering dedication to both the law and his community.
