Ed Marod was honored to join the fellowship of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He limits his practice to arbitration, litigation, mediation, trials and appeals of significant business related cases.
He has handled complex commercial litigation for plaintiffs and defendants including direct actions, class actions and derivative actions. He has represented certified public accountants, accounting firms, corporate shareholders, officers and directors, real estate developers, private equity clubs and their members, brokers, manufacturers, distributors, franchisors, franchisees, law firms and others. He has handled cases involving professional liability, securities litigation, contract disputes, business torts, statutory claims, corporate and partnership dissolutions and more.
He has represented clients in: trials and other evidentiary proceedings in multiple trial courts in Florida and other states; in appeals in the Florida intermediate courts of appeals and the Florida Supreme Court; in litigation and trials in the federal trial courts for the Southern, Northern and Middle Districts of Florida, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Tax Court; and has argued appeals in the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of the United States.
He is a trial lawyer, appellate practitioner and client adviser.
