The Washington Fellows held their annual dinner on November 25, 2025, at the Rainier Club in Seattle. State Chair Robert Flennaugh and Vice Chair Tom Vertetis organized the event. Following the cocktail reception and dinner, Regent Steve Fogg honored three Washington Fellows who had passed away during the prior year, including his mentor. Vice Chair Vertetis then introduced the state’s two recent inductees, Ken Friedman and Bob Sestero, presenting their backgrounds accompanied by photographs from their youth. The presentations were warmly received by all in attendance. Fellow Rick Friedman attended to celebrate his brother Ken’s induction into the College, along with another brother who traveled from Asia for the occasion. Both new Fellows offered brief remarks following the introductions.

The group also recognized Past State Chair Malaika Eaton for her service as Chair. Eaton is currently serving on the College’s Cornerstone Project, which aims to share successful committee initiatives and provide practical guidance to states and provinces for duplication.

President Day addressed the group, discussing the Cornerstone Project and the College’s approach to public statements on current events, as well as emphasizing the importance of identifying qualified candidates for fellowship.
