Judicial Fellow and retired federal district court judge Nancy Gertner co-authored a New York Times op ed (linked below), explaining and critiquing the judicial misconduct complaint recently filed by the Department of Justice against Chief Judge James Boasberg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Judge Gertner and Professor Stephen Vladeck observe that the Attorney General’s actions with respect to this matter raise important concerns about the separation of powers, judicial independence and the integrity of the courts and the Department of Justice.
