President Day and his wife Joy attended the Louisiana Fellows black-tie dinner at Commander’s Palace in New Orleans on December 6. The dinner was organized by Laurie Sterbcow, spouse of State Chair Paul Sterbcow. Around fifty-five Fellows and guests were in attendance. During the reception, President Day met Fellow Pat Vance’s wife, Federal Senior District Court Judge Sarah Vance, who is the head of the Civil Rules Committee. Judge Vance asked for the College’s input on recent proposed civil rules. President Day spoke to the group about the Cornerstone Project – sharing successful committee initiatives and providing practical guidance to states and provinces for duplication – along with the process by which the Board decides whether to issue statements and the importance of identifying new candidates for fellowship.
