Nanci L. Clarence is a founding partner of Clarence & Dyer LLP in San Francisco where she specializes in the defense of white-collar criminal cases and investigations and including securities, antitrust, trade secret, banking and other business and environmental crimes as well as civil litigation. She also represents indigent criminal defendants in trial and capital habeas corpus matters including two inmates on California’s death row.

Ms. Clarence is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and is a past chair of the Northern California State Committee and Federal Criminal Procedure Committee. She served as Vice Chair of the United States Sentencing Commission Practitioner’s Advisory Group. Ms. Clarence is past President of the Bar Association of San Francisco and has been named for multiple years as one of the Top 75 Women Litigators in California by the Los Angeles Daily Journal.
