Linda Dale Hoffa is a Co-Chair of the Criminal Law Practice Group at Dilworth Paxson LLP in Philadelphia and focuses her practice in the areas of criminal defense and counseling, internal corporate investigations, and corporate compliance programs.

Before joining Dilworth, Linda was the Criminal Division Chief at the U.S. Attorneys Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. While working for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), she was Chair of DOJ’s Criminal Chief’s Working Group and served a two-year detail at the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. Earlier, she was appointed as a Special Assistant to the U.S. Attorney General to serve as DOJ’s Spokesperson for the Oklahoma Cit Bombing prosecution. Twice she was awarded DOJs Directors Award for Superior Performance for her successful work in significant prosecutions.

After her service at DOJ, Linda worked on the executive team for the Pennsylvania Attorney General, serving as the Senior Executive Deputy Attorney General. Before that she worked at the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of General Counsel.

Linda is a Fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. In 2016 the American College of Trial Lawyers selected her to present a mock trial before Justices of the United States Supreme Court and Justices from the United Kingdom as part of the U.K. and U.S. Exchange.

She currently is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School where she teaches a seminar entitled the Law of Investigations.

Linda earned her undergraduate degree (magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa) and law degree from Rutgers University, and is admitted to practice before all the state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, in addition to the U.S. Supreme Court. She clerked in federal district court in New Jersey.
