Greg Varallo is the managing partner of the Delaware office of Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann LLP. His practice is concentrated on representing investors and institutions, primarily in fiduciary duty litigation in Delaware and other states. Greg was the lead trial lawyer for the successful plaintiff in Tornetta v. Musk, which led to the post-trial recission of Elon Musk’s $55 billion compensation package, the largest in history.
Greg is former president of Richards, Layton & Finger, P.A., in Wilmington, Delaware, that state’s leading defense side firm.
Greg is the author or co-author of numerous books, articles and treatises, and has lectured at NYU School of Law, Columbia, Duke, the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and Harvard Law School.
In addition to his fellowship in the American College of Trial Lawyers, Greg is a founding trustee and vice president of the American College of Governance Counsel, a fellow the Salzburg Global Seminar (Corporate Governance) and a Senior Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. He has been a panelist at the annual Tulane Corporate Law conference, the Securities Regulation Law Institute (PLI), as well as various PLI, ABA, and other programs and institutes. Greg has been recognized in many legal directories, including being named to the inaugural Forbes Top 200 Lawyers list, the Law Dragon 500, The Legal 500, Benchmark Litigation, The Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, and Chambers USA, which notes his excellent judgment and insight and praises him as phenomenal….
