Elizabeth McIntyre LSM
Liz graduated from The University of Toronto Law School in 1976 and articled at Blake Cassels and Graydon. Prior to opening her mediation and arbitration practice Elizabeth practiced law for thirty-nine years.
As a senior member of the Cavalluzzo firm Liz represented both individuals and organizations at all levels of the Courts, at Commissions of Inquiry and before numerous tribunals and arbitrators. She advised clients and acted as counsel in the areas of civil and administrative law with particular expertise in labour and employment law. A particular focus of her practice was in the area of health law and the representation of health care professionals before professional colleges and in other proceedings.
As a member of her firms executive committee Liz became familiar with the challenges of management. She advised and acted for lawyers and other professionals in firm disputes. She was also involved in advising clients on policy matters and legislative change.
In 2006 Liz received the Law Society Medal. She has been a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers since 2007 and the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers since 2013. Liz is recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in Canada in labour, employment and human rights law. She has recently been appointed a part-time vice-chair of the Ontario Labour Relations Board
Based on her years as an advocate Elizabeth McIntyre is now offering her expertise(knowledge), experience and skills to assist parties in resolving disputes through mediation and/or arbitration.
