About Us - Sandra Day O'Connor Jurist Award

In 2007 the American College of Trial Lawyers Sandra Day O’Connor Jurist Award was established. 

The Award, which is named in honor of the Honorable Sandra Day O’Connor, former Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States (1981-2006), is to be given from time to time to a judge, either federal or state, who has demonstrated exemplary judicial independence in the performance of his or her duties, sometimes in difficult or even dangerous circumstances.
