Dear Fellows, Inductees, Spouses and Guests,

I would like to cordially extend an invitation for you and your spouse or guest to the 58th Spring Meeting of the American College of Trial Lawyers which will be held at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Tucson, Arizona beginning Thursday, March 6th then concluding with the Induction Banquet on Saturday, March 8th, 2008.

President-Elect Jack Dalton has planned an exciting program with varied topics and distinguished speakers. The Duke University Lacrosse Team cases and controversies will be the focus of a group discussion that includes the views of Fellows involved in the cases and representatives from the press and academia. We will have the chance to learn more about ourselves from a leading “Humorist at Law.” A sitting jurist will present an eye-opening perspective on Judicial Independence. The Right Honourable Lord Rodger of Earlsferry will accept an Honorary Fellowship, and the Terri Schiavo trial judge, The Honorable Judge George Greer of Florida, will be presented the inaugural Sandra Day O’Connor Jurist Award. CLE credits will be available.

The opening reception will be held at the resort on Thursday, March 6th. Friday evening we will be on location out West at Old Tucson Studios, where countless John Wayne movies were filmed.

The banquet will be held Saturday, March 8, 2008. Attendance is limited to Fellows and Inductees of the College and their spouses or guests who are registered for the Spring Meeting. Attire is black tie. The highlight of the evening will be the induction of new Fellows.

Following the professional programs on Friday and Saturday, you may choose from an array of social programs which will highlight the desert area. We are also offering our annual golf and tennis tournaments which are always popular. I encourage you to register early, as the tournaments frequently fill up quickly due to high demand.

You may register online (www.actl.com) or fax (949.752.1674) with a credit card, or by mail to the National Office. Please include your credit card and/or check along with the registration form.

I encourage you to make your room reservations early. To make your room reservations and to register for the Spring Meeting, please see the registration material located within this brochure and contact the National Office with any questions.

LeAnn and I look forward to seeing you in Tucson.

Sincerely,
